Seeds of life - why our fertility is rooted in the soil.

How does soil affect our fertility?

Hi there,

Welcome to The Life Larder! This weekly newsletter serves up a bite-sized menu of stories and ideas about making food that’s not only delicious but also healthy and sustainable.

Each issue is packed with inspiring articles, flavourful ideas, and voices from across the vibrant food world. Think of me as your friendly guide, helping you create meals that nourish your body, delight your taste buds, and care for our planet. Treat this newsletter like a personal larder—always stocked with something you’ll love.

This week I’m sharing with you my article for Warkitchen on fertility. Looking at the key nutrients both men and women need to keep hormones healthy, I delve into why we are lacking these in our food more than ever, and how this has dramatically reduced our fertility rates. Spoiler alert - the answer is in our soil. Take a look below for the link - and send me a message to let me know your thoughts - I’d love to hear from you.

As always if there’s someone who you think would enjoy this issue of The Life Larder please send it to a friend and share the love <3

Baked Sticky Grapes

Summer is calling and these will become a staple for you, I gurantee.

This isn’t really a recipe, more an idea that you can use as a topping or accompaniment to other dishes. I serve these grapes over yoghurt with sourdough, on top of crostinis with whipped ricotta or on the side of a dessert that calls for something sweet and sticky. Hot or cold these grapes are something special.
