Baked Sticky Grapes

So easy you'll wonder why you've never done it before.

This isn’t really a recipe, more an idea that you can use as a topping or accompaniment to other dishes. I serve these grapes over yoghurt with sourdough, on top of crostinis with whipped ricotta or on the side of a dessert that calls for something sweet and sticky. Hot or cold these grapes are something special.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch purple grapes - the darker the better

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200/180c fan

  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper, and place the washed grapes onto the paper. Don’t be tempted to add anything - no oil, salt or pepper; the heat will create all the magic

  3. Bake for c.25-30 minutes, till the grapes are oozy and beginning to burst. Save the baked juices to pour over your dish later (or mixed with apple cider vinegar and soda for a mocktail) and use the grapes however you wish.
