Are you having a good summer? Things have been slower over here for lots of reasons, but I wanted to drop in to share some thoughts with you on hydration. I notice there are days that I feel get brain-fog or feel fuzzy-headed - and often (particularly in the sun) I can link this to low hydration. Hydration is way more than water, and I hope you enjoy reading about whether filters really are the way forwards, and how many electrolytes we ACTUALLY need.

Water is the lifeblood of our bodies, making up about 70% of our weight. It cushions joints, regulates temperature, flushes toxins, and powers up our cells. With overflowing hydration options; from filtered pitchers to electrolyte drops and the ever-debated daily water target it’s fair to ask what kind of water should we actually be drinking, and how much do we really need?

I’ll be doing a little roadshow at some of the RHS gardens over the next few months - each is a 45 minute workshop that is part of a wider programme of events, so buying a ticket to the garden means you’ll get a fantastic family friendly day out and get to come and see me IRL.
27th August - 12pm & 2pm - Tomato Extravaganza (come and eat tomato canapés and drink tomatoey drinks with me!) - RHS Wisley
6th & 7th September - both days will feature a Q&A session with me, and a demo of snacks and ferments from the garden - RHS Harlow Carr, Yorkshire
12th October - 11am, talk: ‘How gut health connects to the ground beneath our feet’ & 1pm, demo: ‘The Cultured Garden: Pickles, Ferments & Gut Health’ - part of plot to plate festival at RHS Wisley
